This recipe looks perfect for my 11 year old King Charles Cavalier. Thank you so much for posting this. I think it’s so important to treat your little pet with something from the occasional kibble. I know my dog absolutely loves chicken and carrots and it always gives him something to look forward to. My only hope when giving him this many veggies is that it’s easy on his stomach. What kind of chicken do you feed your pets.. Is it just any grilled chicken? Thanks!

Hey Peter… Your comments show great concern for your pet and that is wonderful. My dog likes chicken…. I prefer to feed the chicken raw although my dog seems to favor a little seasoning from the skillet or grill from time to time. So there is no misunderstanding I don’t eat raw myself. Carrots… I slice them thinly and believe this is adequate because I want to encourage chewing However a blender works great making digestion less of a concern and easier for those dogs which have a habit of gorging… All the best…

I really appreciate this recipe Robert! I have been feeding my dog natural and organic foods for almost 6 month now and she has lost the weight she needed to lose and looks forward to eating instead of picking at it. I remember your advice for feeding Mickie raw carrots and tried them with my dog but she didn’t want anything to do with them, then you told me to be patient she will learn to like them in time. Well, the good news is she loves them now. Kind of like people, we’ve eat on trash our whole life and it’s a bit of a shock to eat a whole food plant base diet, but we learn to love this kind of food in time as well!

    Thank you again Robert!
