    Hi Robert. Great tips on how to save money while still eating healthy organic foods. I agree that cost it’s one of the reasons that organic foods are not more popular. Not everyone can afford to buy organic foods weekly. I really like the seasonal tips as it of season products are generally more expensive than in season.     I keep hearing so many conflicting stories about organically produced food vs non-organically produced food and whether or not it is actually healthier for you or a marketing scam.

    I appreciate that having fewer pesticides on your food is probably a good thing, but is there any scientific research to show that organically produced food is healthier in terms of nutrient content etc? Thanks in advance.

      Hi Kristian, Thanks for the comment. Yes, I guess there are several opinions on Organic Foods. I like to say it is basically the food our Grandparents ate 100 years ago.

      As you stated it is better to not have pesticides so that is part of the problem to which we can add the damage the soil gets with the abusive fertilizers & pesticides used. Our grandparents did not have these issues.We do have a need to increase production from the organics to be competitive and that is going well as we have learned ways to produce without diminishing the soil.

      Yes, there is plenty of research. There are issues with Governmental regulation and information being influenced by those who control the Food System. I would suggest you learn that story if you are unfamiliar and that will answer nearly every question you would have.

    Really informative article on how we can save food and use our resources efficiently. I really liked the idea of buying seasonal fruits since they keep a balance of all the nutrients and minerals in the body.
    What do you think is the best way to use leftovers? Can you make something out of them or is it best to give them away?

      Leftovers… I plan for them and freeze them myself which enables me to save some time and have healthier meals fast. As far as giving it away that is something that can be done on a larger scale by either making a meal for someone, inviting them, or volunteering, all good ways. Thank for the question. Cheers.
